Name: Sarah Johnson | Position: Senior Ad Ops Coordinator | Location: Washington, DC

Tell us a little about yourself!

I’m a California native who got my start by interning on a congressional race in college and I never looked back. Throughout the years, I’ve managed finances and compliance for campaigns and PACs across the country, built dynamic budgets, and organized fundraising events and call time programs for congressional and municipal races in California. I earned my degree in Political Science at University of California, Riverside. Currently, I’m excited about all the work going on here at SpeakEasy. I’m working to ensure that our clients and races up and down the ballot have access to the most effective and efficient digital ads on the market.

Where are you based right now and what’s your favorite thing to do in your city?

I’m based in DC. I love our restaurant scene, and there is always a free art or cultural event to check out!

What have you enjoyed most about SpeakEasy so far?

I enjoy working along side all of the compassionate and intelligent folks here at SpeakEasy. Everyone is working toward a collective goal and it’s such an inspiring, exciting environment to work in!

Midterms are approaching soon — what are you most excited for? Is there anything you’re doing to prepare?

I’m looking forward to Americans standing up for human rights and defending abortion at the polls this November. I’ll be spending these last couple of months reminding my friends how important their vote is.

What’s something most people don’t know about you? Fun Facts!

I love to cook in my spare time and over the years, cooking has become sort of a ritual for me. I find myself flipping through cookbooks until finding a new gem that I can experiment with. My current obsession is my whipping up some fresh homemade bagels on slow Sunday mornings.

What’re you currently listening to?

Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti has been on repeat all summer long. I’m also eagerly awaiting Taylor Swift’s new album Midnights.
